Writing books for me is more or less an excuse for book parties. On May 16th, we had one for Wedding Toasts I'll Never Give at Manhattan's Grace Church, where the great band-just-for-the-party, My Ex-Husband (Robi Polgar) played only slightly passive-aggressive love songs; and then another party at the Public Theater's Library Bar, where there was a surprise performance by Dan Finnerty (The Dan Band), star of stage and screen, and DJ'ing by my husband, Champagne Jerry. Greenlight sold out of books, people made lifelong friends, and everyone drank many drinks.
